  WHAT HAPPENED?

  The 34-year-old needed surgery on a broken leg after crashing his £260,000 Ferrari in December. After being discharged from hospital before Christmas, claims the striker is flying to Dubai on Friday to spend nearly a fortnight at a training facility in Dubai to help with his recovery.

  THE BIGGER PICTURE

  The Jamaica international is, arguably, lucky to be alive as a result of the crash, with the Hammers man having to be cut free from the wreckage and then airlifted to hospital. He is out of contract this summer and it remains to be seen if he will get a new West Ham deal.
